I wonder if the holes in the book were caused by someone who used the book to protect the surface of something while they hammered an awl into leather (or something similiar). If that is the case, they obviously didn’t have any regard for that particular book — maybe they just couldn’t get those fancy stitches to lay correctly. LOL

I agree with geomom — describe your books as you do here — you are honest and your descriptions are right on the mark.

Regarding the books – for the books in “not so great” condition, just list them as you have listed them here – describe the physical condition of the book with a price. Same thing with Erica Wilson – some people might want all Erica, all the time. Might be worth it to someone, you never know.

Tell Jack the Cat that I’m coming over and sharing that lounge chair with him. Boy, that sun looks great. We’ve had several straight days of rain — good for washing away the snow, but doesn’t help the potential flooding. Sunshine would be most welcome. Jack is a very handsome fellow!

Actually I think losing the love of stitching after opening a store is pretty common. Once it becomes “work,” it isn’t fun or relaxing anymore.

Sounds like you have a lot of great books to go through — better than going to the library because there is no place like home. Plus, you are handy for Jack the Cat when he needs his treats. (Mary Kay Ash was the cosmetics lady, but you probably knew that.) When can you post a pic of you needlepoint rooster that you’re working on? I wanna see it. LOL

Going with your strengths (and what people want) is a very good idea. I always see problems I run into stitching as an opportunity to learn. The books sound lovely, by the way.
